        Verdict

        Desert Lightning gets narrow preference over Jenny Soba and Ellies Faith in this tight affair. The selection finished fifth behind Orpen Quest at Bath last time on soft ground. The return to this faster surface will suit this 5-year-old and he can regain the winning thread. Jenny Soba has been a little disappointing of late but she should be suited by this step-up in trip and she is certainly capable of getting competitive at this lowly level. Ellies Faith showed a good attitude to beat Navarian at Beverley last time but that was a desperate race and although she should run her race today, she is no good thing to follow-up over this shorter trip. Out Of Town was well beaten on his debut but he is at least unexposed and if he can improve he might be capable of challenging for some place money. However, this is a poor contest and Desert Lightning looks the most solid bet.
