Verdict

DIGGERATT is clear on official figures and connections will be disappointed if he cannot take the measure of Castlebury and Fortunate Bid. Richard Fahey has had a decent time of it with his class droppers this summer and while this 73 rated performer doesn't exactly help himself with a somewhat awkward style of running, he did enough at Carlisle to suggest that he can win again in plating class. Castlebury looked well in the paddock at Pontefract and confirmed that well being with victory on the course. He was a bitter disappointment when dropped to this grade at Hamilton next time out. Fortunate Bid made all to win at Windsor. He looks to have enough weight in handicaps so the drop to claimers is no surprise. Eric Alston's horses are running creditably so watch the market in relation to Tina's Best. Carnival Dream is hard to fancy. Diggeratt is accordingly recommended.
