    Verdict

Grudge and PATCH PATCH are top-rated on official ratings and preference is for the latter after a pleasing return to action after an absence of some nine months. He failed narrowly to make a successful comeback in an ordinary affair at Catterick over this trip and can go one better if not subject to the 'bounce' factor. Grudge unseated as the stalls opened last time but is obviously a leading player if more tractable on this occasion. However, there is a slight concern that his last 15 outings have all been on an artificial surface and he needs to reproduce his decent form back on turf. Ridley Didley and William Wainwright are both in fair form and add further spice to quite an interesting little heat for the grade.
