Verdict

CHAMPAGNE RULES finished ahead of Restive when placed over 1m4f at Newcastle recently. But he’s arguably better over today’s shorter trip having won a couple of times at Wolverhampton over the winter and this doesn’t look a strong contest. Both of Mr Coco Bean’s wins so far have come over a mile at Southwell including his latest outing in January though he can race off a 4lb lower mark today. Acadian Angel won a seller in soft ground over track and trip in October but returns to action along with Zealous. The latter went close over today’s distance at Doncaster last season, however, while Captain Pugwash and Duke Of Yorkshire slide further down the weights.
