Verdict

A very poor turnout for the prize money with the race looking to be a match between Resplendent Cee and Pieter Brueghel. On official ratings, the former is rated four pounds clear. Peter Harris charge was second last time out to Welcome Friend but he was well held on that occasion and with the ground likely to be faster than ideal and his best trip arguably over six furlongs, he is opposed today. Paul Cole sent out a big race winner at Newmarket in Governor Brown and he is given the Teamtalk nod to score in this more modest contest with Pieter Brueghel. The horse seems to produce his best performances when the fields are small and the confirmed front-runner should get things his own way here. Amaranth and Rosselli look most likely to be battling for third place prize money.
