In depth

Verdict

Captain Kangaroo was a long odds-on shot when turned over by Winter Fog at Limerick and the winner has been well beaten subsequently. Willie Mullins' charge is opposed again with GLOIRE D'ATHON, a winner bumper in heavy going in France who has found very testing conditions at Fairyhouse the last twice beyond him. Better going here can see him off the mark though Pipers Meadow ran very well behind Julies Stowaway at Clonmel and it wouldn't take much more to see him in the firing-line. Peaceful Sunday was well supported on his bumper debut at Kilbeggan and showed plenty of potential.
