Until John Gleeson won this a year ago with Just Wait and See, Enda Bolger and Peter Maher had shared the previous eight winners, the latter with Enniskillen two years ago, his only victory in 22 starts on the track. Bolger has three entries and though Blue Templar will attract support after his head defeat a year ago, Derek O'Connor, who rode him, prefers YOUCANNOTBESERIOUS. Still only seven, he hasn't run since November 2017 but must have been showing plenty at home for his rider to change allegiance. His stable companion Different Spot may prove best of the remainder.
