Jim Bowie finished a long way behind Abbey Glen when both made their debuts over fences at Sligo but comfortably reversed the form in a strong event over this C&D two weeks ago when Mr Eko was well beaten. Days Hotel looked a real chasing type when running away with a maiden hurdle at Clonmel in March and he won't mind the conditions nor will the progressive point-to-pointer Dog Barrel Hill, though this trip could be on the short side for the latter. Dun Masc looks a potentially useful staying chaser and is one to keep an eye on as he makes his debut while the mare Odonimee produced her best hurdling performances on very testing ground. NEAREST THE PIN has run only five times over timber but was always going to be a chaser and he's given the vote to make a winning start. Winning point-to-pointer Profit Margin is another to note in an interesting opener.
