COTTAGE OAK is a consistent type and can get the better of Theatre Festival and False Messenger. The last named had not been asked a serious question when losing his rider last time, after winning well previously. He can go well, a remark that also applies to Theatre Festival, a Gowran Park bumper winner, who was second on his re-appearance and should be fitter for that run. Dual bumper winner Cottage Oak also ran well on his seasonal debut, his first outing for four months. He stayed on to good effect that day to be a close second, and this extra half a mile looks sure to suit and Cottage Oak can collect.
