In depth

Verdict

UPSIE was unbeaten in her first five starts but hasn't done as well as expected when stepped into Grade 3 company over today's trip. She gets another chance to shine in this lesser class and should return to winning ways. Her stablemate Urticaire, a prolific winner in minor company in France, easily landed a Navan maiden on her debut for Willie Mullins but found Grade 3 company and an extra half mile beyond her at Leopardstown. Layla Joan was hardly out of a canter to beat the useful Fine Rightly at Ayr and will relish the testing ground better than most. Burn And Turn began her chasing career in April and did very well. That's where her future lies and she has a long absence to overcome. Kates Benefit has also been chasing without much success and has a bit to find on her return to hurdling.
