Verdict

Coeur Joyeux has been placed in six of his seven starts over hurdles and run very well behind some smart rivals, including Battleford at Leopardstown in December. He looks certain to go close again but the latter's yard is represented by SENEWALK, who looks to have the scope to go on to better things. A winner on the Flat in France, he started a short-priced favourite on his debut over hurdles here in November but a couple of sticky jumps didn't aid his cause and he wasn't punished once beaten. He's been given plenty of time to mature and can gain compensation as Gettysburg Address hasn't run well when stepped up to this trip in the past and the remainder have shown nothing.
