Fr Humphrey was the surprise winner of this in 2015 though he was pulled up a year ago. STONEHALL JACK attempted to make all at Roscommon last week and looked to be travelling well until a couple of mistakes put paid to his chances, as did his rider losing his whip, though he was only beaten in a triple photo-finish. Compensation awaits here though Mtada Supreme finished runner-up in a Fairyhouse handicap before running out in the La Touche over the cross country course at the Festival when travelling like a winner. He's looking reasonably handicapped while the lightly-raced Navan winner Suas Sios can go well if over his fall at Fairyhouse. Some Drama doesn't win often enough but Tiger Sam won here in October and his young rider's claim puts him on a very fair mark.
