Bonarc won a Kilbeggan handicap by 10 lengths and started favourite for a much better race at Killarney but weakened quickly in the straight. Winning bumper Country Queen just got up to land a 2m3f maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan and may have found 2m too short when odds-on at Perth. Stablemate Up And Out is more likely to be suited by this trip on her handicap debut and looks on a fair mark. Bellaney Gem has been running in the UK all summer without success but BATTLE AWAY has benefited from a move to Ross O'Sullivan. The latter has completed a double over further than this but looked to have plenty of pace when scoring at Cork.
