Verdict
Daring Article had shown nothing over fences on ground too testing but looked a different proposition at Punchestown where he jumped well and stayed on strongly. He's up 8lb but a follow-up can't be ruled out. For A Finish last won a year ago and has been struggling at the weights this year but he's done better recently and is almost back on his winning mark with his rider's claim taken into consideration. Canaly has won twice over fences but generally makes too many mistakes which he won't be able to afford here. Forty Foot Tom easily landed a beginners event in April though the assessor appears to have overreacted but FISHER BRIDGE looks capable of taking this at his best. Noel Meade's charge, a winner on the Flat at Down Royal in September, generally races in better company and will find this less demanding than the Cork Grand National where he ran last time.
