Rohan's Pride won this last year, the second leg of a hat-trick, and he's been confined to racing in handicaps subsequently. He'll enjoy the drop back to this grade but faces a very stiff task at the weights. Peter Maher won this two years ago with Johnies Star, who has changed stables and been running poorly. He is now represented by MTADA SUPREME, who started favourite a year ago but was beaten six lengths into third. He's a massive 17lb better off, taken his rider's claim into consideration, and can reverse the placings with the winner though Shin A Vee, who finished runner-up, is also respected even though he hasn't run since May. All Fired Up has never won a race and ran poorly in a point-to-point last month but Hasty Times has been in very good form between the flags and can go well.
