Several hold chances in the opener, but Iberus rates as good value and is a sporting suggestion to get the better of Kylkenny, Peter's Imp and Turner, who all hold solid claims on recent form. Turner's stablemate Acuzio also has an each-way chance judging by the best of his efforts. But the fact that he has failed to win any of his previous 16 starts does temper the confidence a little. He has a little to prove regarding his resolution for a battle. Turner is also a maiden but is far less exposed than many. Mark Brisbourne's charge is ideally suited by ten furlongs but may be better suited to a sharper track. Peter's Imp goes well for a lady rider and will appreciate the faster surface today. Still, he is weighted to the hilt and has something to prove after disappointing last time out. Kylkenny is a tough and consistent performer that has won around here before. He still retains plenty of enthusiasm and cannot confidently be ruled out, despite being set to give weight away all round. However, Iberus is likely to be available at more attractive odds and is worth a small investment in this company. Steve Gollings has his string in really good order at the moment and it will be no surprise to see this one-time Listed race winner in Germany relish the return to the Flat for his reappearance.
