        Verdict

        Not too many arrive in the best of form, although End Zone suggested he was starting to find his stride when a satisfactory fourth last time behind Detective over this trip at Carlisle. Further improvement will bring him into the mix. Ventura Rascal has a decent strike rate and also enjoys a course and distance success to his name. He has had wind surgery after two uncharacteristically poor efforts in April and the market may prove a useful signpost on this first run back. Carnival Zain seeks a hat-trick and is only up 6lb for his two victories but FROG AND TOAD is just preferred in the belief that he can maintain his consistent progress following wind surgery last autumn.
