FRANCIS XAVIER was in superb form at this time a year ago, completing a hat-trick when landing this race. He'd been racing in better company before scoring at this level at Ascot and will take some beating. Ayutthaya also won at this level at Haydock and the softer the ground the better so he'd be a major threat if the going eases further. Jamil hasn't run since October and has changed stables while the three-year-old Leroy Leroy has become inconsistent, though is taking a drop in grade.
