In depth

Verdict

JUST WAIT (NAP) had to wait for a gap at Doncaster six days ago but accelerated smartly once it came and quickly put the issue beyond doubt. That was an apprentices’ race so she escapes a penalty and, with Andrew Breslin able to claim his full allowance today, Mark Johnston’s filly is impossible to oppose. Champagne Rules has been going well on the all-weather but Duke Of Alba is proving hard to place. Sempre Presto won on this card last year and later over course and distance, however, and was just beaten here on her reappearance, though turned in a shocker at Doncaster at the start of the month.
