        Verdict

        Oriental Relation has won 10 races, all but one on the All-weather, which is why he's on an 11lb lower mark back on Turf so has to be greatly respected. Oriental Splendour hails from an in-form yard and beat HENLEY just over a length here last summer. The runner-up is 4lb better off and has the benefit of a promising reappearance at Southwell so gets the vote to go one better. Jack Luey beat the selection here in July and they meet again on the same terms so Paul Hanagan's mount has to be on the shortlist despite a long absence. Captain Scooby won the race a year ago off a 6lb higher mark and Richard Guest's wonderful veteran has now won 18 of his 182 starts. El Principe is a beginner in comparison with a strike-rate of 1-12 and has been looking a few pounds high.
