led, headed over 3f out and remained in touch, regained lead 2f out, ran on final furlong
took keen hold in touch, pulled hard to lead over 3f out, headed 2f out, soon beaten
held up in rear, headway over 2f out, one pace final furlong
tracked leaders, headway 2f out, edged left, kept on same pace final furlong
This is trappy event and River Rye, Shampagne, Go Nani Go and Salsa Star have all got chances, but narrow preference is for Go Nani Go. Bryan Smart has had a good start to the season with his 2-year-olds and there was plenty to like about the way that Go Nani Go won on his debut. The form has since been franked by the second Harwalla who won at Ripon last Sunday, so he has an obvious chance of maintaining Smart¿s fine record in this race. River Rye progressed from her debut to beat Every Second last time out and she is a nice type, and she should be suited by this extra furlong today. Paul Cole thinks quite a bit of Shampagne amd he won well at Kempton last time out, while Richard Fahey¿s string are in good form at present and Salsa Star is worth a look in the market on her debut. However, Go Nani Go made a positive impression last time and she can win again here.
