Verdict

This is a classy contest as befits the day's feature event, and Henry Cecil, successful on Thursday, is taken to collect this nice prize with Tranquil Tiger. Greek Envoy is a progressive type and he will be sharper for his re-appearanc erun where he was not beaten far by Raincoat. His wins alst season came on a softer surface than he races on here and others may be too quick. The same remark applies to Peppertree Lane, who landed a Listed contest at Goodwood last time. He has won on fast ground, but this likeable type is better with some cut in the ground. Ezdiyaad takes a step up in grade after two handicap successes and he is relatively unexposed and progressive. He is unproven at this level and on this ground and he is also taken on. Tranquil Tiger is an enigmatic character but his performances this season have indicated a serious improvement. He romped away from his field at Newbury in this grade, before being touched off close home after looking all over the winner over two furlongs further at York. He is a little quirky, but hopefully Tom Queally can persuade him to put his best foot forward. Tranquil Tiger won impressively on fast ground at Salisbury and can collect.
