      Verdict

      Commissar was no match for Artful Prince at Ripon three days ago and this looks tougher, whilst Liberty Red could do with some assistance from the handicapper. Abbey Angel is developing into a consistent, reliable filly but tackles her elders for the first time and The Character enjoyed this trip and ground when scoring at Haydock and will be involved if at the same level here. There's little between course and distance winner, DANCE KING, and Sellingallthetime on the book and both went very well in good York handicaps when last seen. Tim Easterby's inmate gets a narrow vote in the belief that the step back to 1m2f will suit him better than the Appleby charge.
