Although a number of the runners here have recent winning form, those successes have come in weak affairs and this looks open, with BILLY BEETROOT narrowly preferred to Riflessione and Mr Tinktastic. Successful in sellers and claimers, Billy Beetroot also took a Brighton handicap off a 5lb lower mark. He showed he sees out the six furlongs at Folkestone recently, and is racing with confidence and is thoroughly consistent. The same cannot be said of Mister Tinktastic, who nonetheless ran well to score at Carlisle on his latest start. Only 4lbs higher here, he will like the ground conditions but may just struggle to follow up. Riflessione dead heated at Bath earlier in the season, and ran creditably behind an impressive winner at Leicester recently. He can go well and reach the frame, though Billy Beetroot may send the punters home happy.
