Verdict

Ombudsman, a half-brother to amongst others the stable's Superstar Leo, is becoming expensive to follow having been placed in all three starts to date. However, it is unlikely that the William Haggas-trained two-year-old will find one as good as Quayside Quay here and he has to be the TEAMtalk selection to finally open his account. With both Our Old Boy and Taipan looking only moderate so far Alan Berry's Telepathic looks the form danger on the evidence of an albeit flattering five length second to Coquetry at Haydock. However, the main threat may come from one of the two newcomers with Bryan McMahon's Gentle Response appealing more than the Geraldine Rees-trained Woolloomooloo Bay.
