Mambina has hit a rich vein of form and can land the hat-trick at the expense of Little Jimbo and Mrs Pankhurst. Mick Channon has his string in fine form and this daughter of Kingmambo has improved to win events at Epsom and Newcastle. She showed tremendous courage to squeeze through close home to beat Lucayan Dancer last time and with the same determination today she will be difficult to beat. Little Jimbo has held his form well since landing his maiden at Carlisle, and put up a very good performance last time when chasing home Zerlina. If the going doesn't deteriorate too much he must be in chance. Mrs Pankhurst has been steadily dropping down the weights and looks on a winning mark after finishing a close up fourth at Goodwood last week. Planters Punch has been knocking on the door recently and is another to consider, but Mambina is at the top of her game and is taken to make it three wins in a row.
