Harlestone Grey is the class act here and should prove too strong for Random Quest and Numitas. John Dunlop's five-year-old has plenty of stamina, and produced his best effort when just touched by Sun Bird at Chester. He was never going to go one better over a trip too short in Listed company at Goodwood last time but this course will bring out the best in him and he can gallop his rivals into the ground to emulate Taffrail who collected for the Arundel yard 12 months ago. Jamaican Flight and Spa Lane are something of standing dishes, but have it to do on the bare form and bigger dangers are Random Quest and Numitas. The latter was outpaced in the Melrose Stakes at York and may do better over this distance, while Random Quest keeps on galloping and may be one to bear in mind for the Cesarewitch again. However, on all know form, Harlestone Grey should collect.
