Verdict
None of these have won on the track, not even Captain Scooby who was having his 158th run when well beaten at Nottingham on Saturday. Danish Duke had been very busy at Southwell, mainly over 7f, before leading for a long way over 6f at Catterick earlier this month. TAFFETTA reappeared after a long break to chase home Perfect Peak on heavy ground at Redcar but didn't enjoy racing on Fibresand on her next start. Back on this sort of ground, she looks the one to beat. Poppy In The Wind is 12lb higher than her only victory and Henry Morgan invariably needs his first run after a break.
