Verdict
Wynford got the better of Manjaam and Overhaugh Street in a lady riders’ race at Carlisle last month but both of the placed horses are better off at the weights here. Infiniti has won four of his five starts on the Flat this year and was second in the other. The nine-year-old has clearly discovered a new lease of life but he’s up another 7lb. Flint Hill won this last year off a pound higher mark but he turned in a shocker on his latest visit to the track. Sophar Sogood is eased further in the weights but was behind DEREHAM at Newmarket in June. John Berry’s stayer also won over an extended 2m5f here earlier, beating Beggarman, and still looks well treated with Gina Mangan taking off 5lb. Flying Standard probably favours the all-weather but can’t be ruled out.
