Fairgame Man has bits and pieces of form that give him leading claims in this company and he can finally add to his tally; possibly with the most to fear from Betty's Pride and Flying Tackle. The selection's former stablemate, Tommy Smith, is another that can never be ruled out in races of this nature and, as he goes well at this track, it will be interesting to note if he attracts any interest from the betting ring. Almaty Express also has a feasible chance at the weights but, as the only three-year-old in the line up, has a bit to prove against his elders. Flying Tackle is in good heart and will be a popular choice after winning convincingly on his latest start. However, he would not want too much ease in the ground and his chance is very much dependant on the weather. There are similar reservations about Betty's Pride, who loves to hear her hooves rattle. Still, she is in good heart and is entitled to go close in her current frame of mind. However, we prefer to take a sporting chance with Fairgame Man, who will not mind the going and rates as solid value in this grade of contest.
