Verdict

A poor start to proceedings can see Red Nose Lady oblige at the expense of Burning Truth, Sir Walter and Desert Spa. It has to be said that Red Nose Lady only won a very moderate seller at Uttoxeter last month, but the fact that she gets weight off her main rivals here gives her a chance, especially when you consider that she was successful in better company than this at Haydock last November. Burning Truth faded at Worcester last time after trying to make the running, and a little more restraint may help, while Sir Walter was well held at Newton Abbot last time and is fully exposed at the age of 12. Desert Spa was successful twice earlier this term, and ran well enough behind Silence Reigns at Worcester to be considered for a place at least, but Red Nose Lady is the pick to small stakes.
