An open handicap in which only a tentative vote of confidence is given to Pearl King. There is also more to come from Ginger Spice, Kames Park and Prime Number, though. And they can give the selection the most to think about. Prime Number picks up a 6lb penalty for winning a classified stakes race at Windsor earlier in the week and has more on his plate in this company. Any softening of the ground would also be a concern with him and he now has a little to prove. Kames Park handles a little give up underfoot and has plenty of scope for improvement. A mile appears to be his ideal trip and he should make a bold bid. Ginger Spice bolted up a Newbury and is obviously going the right way. That form looks fairly solid at this stage and Willie Haggas' charge is entitled to be respected on these terms. However, slender preference goes to Pearl King, who has the more solid profile at this stage and, with his trainer already holding a good strike-rate at this course, the Daylami colt can provide the key to this tricky little race.
