In depth

Verdict

Particle, Belanak and Primitive Academy look the three to consider in this maiden and the vote is given to Particle. The selection looked like one to stay on the right side of when finishing a close second behind Green Room at Warwick on his debut. He really caught the eye that day and with his stable in good form he looks to have outstanding claims. Belanak rates the main danger as this colt is also from a yard in form and he has done little wrong in his two starts to date. He should be suited by the step-up in trip and he is entitled to go close. Primitive Academy finished narrowly behind our selection last time but he didn't catch the eye in the same manner as Particle and with this in mind we will stick with Mark Johnston's 3-year-old as our choice.
