Round The Island won this in 2017 but finished behind last year’s winner Highly Sprung when the latter scored again here last month. Les Eyre’s charge can’t be written off back in this lower grade but Black Salt has returned a losing favourite the last twice now despite being back on winning mark. UNCLE CHARLIE came into form at this time last year when landing a double at Carlisle and gave notice of a big run in a higher grade sprint at the latter track on his latest start.
