BILLESDON BROOK, shock winner of last year's 1000 Guineas, gained her first subsequent victory when dropping into this grade at Chelmsford when Pattie and Vivianite were a long way behind. She only has a 3lb penalty to carry and this looks her level nowadays. Clon Coulis beat Pattie narrowly at Chelmsord in March and ran a tremendous race when beaten a neck in the Royal Hunt Cup, form that gives her an obvious chance here. Threading escapes a penalty for last year's Listed victory at York, where she had Dance Diva 7l behind, and she'll be better for her run in the Duke Of Cambridge at Ascot, her first start since October. Richard Fahey trains the latter and also handles Exhort, though Paul Hanagan's mount appears to need further on quick ground. Joseph O'Brien sends Wisdom Mind from Ireland and though she will need to find more her yard could hardly be in better form.
