Fire Ship was a very easy winner on soft ground at Windsor last time but whether he's improved enough to defy a further 8lb rise in the weights is questionable. Ardmay beat Satanic Beat at Ayr in June but was behind Fire Ship at Newmarket subsequently and has been disappointing lately while Dubawi Island seems better on the Polytrack. Asatir has never raced on ground this soft and Thirsk second Mabaany also has to prove himself on the surface. Rio Grande's form is also on quicker going but he did run well in a decent handicap at Redcar last month and shouldn't be far away. LADY MACDUFF bounced back from a couple of disappointing efforts on good to firm to finish third over 1m1f at Epsom on good ground. This stiff mile should suit and she can land this ahead of recent winners Boots And Spurs and Hi There.
