A competitive looking nursery can go to the improving Granston over recent winners Kinnaird, Fairlie and Prince Tara. James Bethall's son of Revoque has come on for each of his three runs, and although a beaten favourite at Carlisle last time, shaped well again. He should now be at concert-pitch, and off a mark of 80 for his nursery bow, can score en-route to a potential crack at the Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy this autumn. Kinnaird has done nothing wrong and will not go down without a fight though. Pat Haslam's charge has topweight after back-to-back successes at Hamilton where on the latest occasion she benefited from a false pace, quickening up better than her rivals, including the favourite Letsimpress. nevertheless she is a progressive sort and should make the frame. Fairlie is also on the upgrade, having won at the second time of asking here just over a fortnight ago. She did tend to run green and shaped as though another furlong would not come amiss already, but is on the short-list on merit. Burkees Graw is a bit more exposed, but Prince Tara has the plum draw in stall one and will benefit from the step up in trip after scraping home over the minimum at the Yorkshire track on his last outing. Xpres Digital, Imperium and Cotosol make for an interesting affair, but Granston is the selection.
