Division one of this fillies maiden is pretty tricky as a few of these could prove to be anything but SELECT's performance in the listed Empress Stakes at Newmarket two starts ago rates as really strong form and she has the call ahead of Kasaa Ed and Izzi Mill. That impressive runner's up performance for the selection, ahead of the subsequent dual listed winner Madame Trop Vite, was followed with a very disappointing performance in warm maiden at Nottingham. Back amongst her own sex here she is obviously better than that last run suggested and this better ground will help. Kassaa Ed put in a solid run in a similar race at Leicester in October and while the formlines are yet to work out the form of Mark Johnston's stable means this one can't be ignored with expected improvement. Izzi Mill has shown some promise in four starts so far and has seemed to progress from each but would have to find a lot more to score here. Today's The day has had a decent low level all-weather campaign over the winter but looks to have more to do back on turf especially against a rival like Select.
