In depth

Verdict

Tisseman, Bennett and Forest Silver look the principals in this bumper with the confident vote going to Tisseman. The selection was sent off favourite on his debut but could manage only sixth behind Lambrini Legend. He is clearly thought capable of better and with improvement likely he is hard to oppose with conditions also in his favour. Bennett rates the main danger as he won a point-to-point on his only start and he hails from a yard that has a good record in these events. However, his breeding suggests that he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Forest Silver is another that could go well as he is a well-bred gelding by Silver Patriarch and he will not need to be anything special to take a hand in the finish. This is a trappy affair and the market will be very informative but Tisseman looks sure to improve and he gets our vote in the finale.
