In depth

Verdict

Henry Box Brown won a Wexford bumper and scored for the first time over timber with a battling success on heavy ground at Uttoxeter. TARA ITI (NAP) won twice here in the early part of last year on this sort of ground and has found the going too testing the last twice. He can again see off Tommy Dillion, who he beat a short-head in March, as he will be better off at the weights thanks to the latter's easy Lingfield victory for which he's been raised 12lb. The selection's stable companion Executive Pool was beaten a long way in the latter event though didn't act in the heavy conditions. Cobbs Corner won a novices' handicap at Fakenham in October but ran poorly at Taunton the following month.
