Verdict
SHAW'S CROSS has done best at around this trip on soft ground and though still to win over fences this is a poor handicap and he can put matters right. The bottom trio are out of the handicap and Clondaw Robin has had a dozen starts over fences without winning while Doyannie is 0-14 and seems better over further. Sherborne has won over timber but hasn't shown much aptitude for chasing in two starts while Heron Creek is likely to find this on the short side.
