Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Najca De Thaix is the obvious one and is selected but he may not get everything his own way. Emma Lavelle's charge has gone up 10lbs for his 12 length defeat of Carly Bay over course and distance. The runner-up is weighted to give him something to think about today but he appeared to win with something up his sleeve and should be able to confirm the form. Midnight Diamond and Littleton Aldor aren't without claims but are opposable whilst Forfeiter struggles to get his head in front and has something to find with the selection on their form over hurdles. Sailor's Sovereign makes little appeal at first glance but he has kept some excellent company to date and this is his first realistic assignment. It's also his first outing in handicap company and over fences; market support would look significant but at this stage of proceedings it's impossible to put him forwards so Najca De Thaix gets the vote.
