Verdict

PARTICLE is taken to come out on top here, with Chapel Flowers and Russellstown Boy best of the rest. The last named is an Irish recruit and after a five month break the market may be the best guide to his chances. He is still a maiden but hit the frame two outings ago, and is an unknown quantity on this ground. Chapel Flowers came up against a well handicapped type at Hexham on his latest start, but that was after a nine month lay off and he can be expected to have improved for the outing. He is also still a maiden but that was an improved effort and he looks interesting. Particle may well have won but for refusing at the last at Ffos Las on his latest start, and is running here off a 4lb lower rating than his hurdles mark. He is consistent, and Particle can make amends for that blip last time and collect his first chase success.
