In depth

Verdict

Godot initiated a double when scoring over slightly further over hurdles here in April but disappointed in two starts last month. Scarface was a very easy winner of a novices' hurdle here last October before beating two rivals at Ascot. He hasn't taken to fences the last twice but still has time to improve. PEPE LE MOKO did well over timber without winning but it was a different story on his chasing bow at Worcester where he was a convincing winner. He has a 10lb rise to contend with but can complete a double, though Oxygen was always travelling nicely at Lingfield and an 8lb rise is unlikely to prevent another big run.
