This is a dreadful race to start the card with Dellone, Momentous Jones, Miss Woodpigeon and The Local all shortlisted, and we will side with Dellone. The selection hails from the Tom George yard and unseated his rider last time at Huntingdon but had previously shown a modicum of ability when a fair fourth to Barton Nic on this track. He will have conditions to suit here and as he likes to bowl along in front, he might be able to dictate the pace and take the sting out of his rivals. Miss Woodpigeon is a likely danger as she was returning from a break when well beaten over hurdles last time. That run came almost 2 years after her last run over hurdles, although she has been running over the flat during that period. She should handle the conditions and on the pick of her form would have a chance with a decent jockey in Stuart Elliott on board. The Local is another with a good jockey booked and although this gelding has been disappointing of late, he has been running in better races than this so could be capable of a better run. Momentous Jones hasn't won for three years but has been running well of late and he should be in the frame at the finish, but in a race where the market may provide the clues, Dellone is given the tentative selection.
