In depth

Verdict

This novices' handicap chase looks to lie between Rosamio, The Outlier and Le Rochelais with the vote given to Rosamio. The selection has shown decent form in Ireland, she is in good heart and she will relish today's ground conditions and for those reasons she is hard to oppose. The Outlier got no further than the second at Catterick last time but his overall form would give him a chance here if his confidence has not been dented by that fall. La Rochelais has shown some fair form over hurdles and he is sure to have been well-schooled for this his chasing debut. Good Call is another chasing debutante and he is lightly-raced so at the forecast odds he has to be worth a look with AP McCoy on board. However, Rosamio sets a decent standard for the rest here and gets the vote.
