In depth

Verdict

This is perhaps not as competitive as the number's would suggest and three to concentrate on are Butler's Cabin, Pan The Man and Rare Gold with the vote given to Butler's Cabin. The selection showed improvement on his bumper form last time out and with this step-up in trip in his favour he should take plenty of beating. Pan The Man probably needed the outing when running out of steam at Plumpton last time but it was still a creditable effort behind Just A Splash. He has only had two runs so remains unexposed so he has to merit plenty of consideration. Rare Gold is an interesting newcomer from the Robert Alner yard so he is worth a look in the market, while Best Actor is proven on this soft ground. However, Butler's Cabin is a likeable type and is taken to lead them home.
