    Verdict

Robert Alner has a good record in this type of event and can boost his tally with El Hombre Del Rio who has been found a winning opportunity in a weak race. The five-year-old made his debut in an above average bumper at Newbury last month and was far from disgraced, staying on to be beaten eight lengths. Sure to have benefited from the experience, he can take full advantage of a significant drop in class. Charliemoore was never sighted behind River City on his first start and needs to show plenty of improvement to figure here while Emma Lavelle's Coralinga, a daughter of Derby-placed Terimon, may do best of the newcomers but as ever, the market should provide the biggest clues to their respective chances.
