It should pay to concentrate on those at the head of the weights, with Kroisos preferred to Coral Island and Lord Attica. Kroisos is a regular visitor to Plumpton and was successful over the course and distance last April. After that victory, Roger Curtis revealed that the son of Kris was the best staying chaser that he had trained since Mister Ed. Still only a seven-year-old, Kroisos is expected to make up into a Grand National horse one day, and should certainly go close in this company. Coral Island likes to dominate and will do well to last home under topweight unless the ground dries out dramatically, while Lord Attica has yet to impress greatly, even with the fitting of a visor. On recent form, the rest can safely be ruled out, and for the winner we return to Kroisos.
