The Gary Moore pair of Blue Streak and Eau Pure both hold solid claims but despite his trainer's indifferent form Withthelads is the selection. The six-year-old has run some fair races in defeat this season including at this track and with first time blinkers expected to help he should go very close at a decent price. Blue Streak disappointed last time out at this track but previously had run some very solid races including winning on this course in October. Eau Pure put up his best performance to date last time out at Lingfield and looks the stable number one on jockey booking and should not be inconvenienced by this step back in trip. However Withthelads looks the call in the trickiest race of the day for his local trainer who has an excellent strike rate at the course.
